The following will give you an idea of how the free consultation and subsequent first few sessions will progress...

1) Free consultation

  • The consultation will usually last for about 45 minutes

  • You have the chance to meet us, with no obligation, to discuss your targets, and to see if what we offer meets your needs.

  • Then, if we both feel we can work together, the next step is to...

2) Book some sessions

  • How many you book is totally up to you: once a month, or as much as three times per week.

  • Frequency depends on your needs, how much you feel you can exercise alone and how often you want to train.

3) Your first session

  • Your first session will be used to assess your current level of fitness; we will perform approximately 25 measurements and tests.  These data will be analysed and combined with information on your targets, time constraints, previous experience etc. to set the types of exercises, and intensity of your first training programme.

  • This information will also be used to monitor your progress throughout your time with us, so you can see exactly how much improvement you have made.

4) After your first session

  • TeamWorks Fitness will work together to create your first programme, which will be continually modified over the coming weeks and months with us to ensure you continue to progress.  We will also provide a printed fitness report with all your data taken from the previous session.

  • If you opted to take advantage of our nutrition advice, we will also assess your dietary habits and suggest improvements (should improvements be needed) and offer meal planning and menu advice to help you maximise your desired training effects.

5) Further sessions

  • We will work together to ensure you train safely and effectively.

  • We will vary techniques over the weeks and months to ensure you don't get bored.

  • Every 6 weeks or so we will reevaluate your progress. This will give you a target date to aim for!

Our equipment

  • Our equipment Is based around activities you can do in your own home with little or no equipment, therefore making it easier and cheaper for you to exercise.

  • Our equipment includes weights, fit balls, stretch bands, medicine balls, and various bits of kit that we use to assess your fitness: a body fat monitor, blood pressure monitor, and a heart rate monitor.

Keeping you motivated

Of course, it can be difficult to keep motivated in our attempts to be more active.

That's where we can really help:

  • by being on hand to encourage you in your efforts

  • by developing an exercise programme designed specifically for you so that you can be confident you are working effectively

  • By ensuring the goals you set yourself can be achieved
